Carly Hensinger

Director of State Relations

Carly Hensinger serves as the Director of State Relations in the Office of Government Affairs. In her role, she helps to lead the University’s advocacy and engagement efforts, advancing the University’s legislative priorities and land-grant mission with the Ohio general assembly and other state leaders. Leveraging experience in both the executive and legislative branches of Ohio government, Carly helps advance Ohio State's priorities through strategic engagement with state policymakers. 

Prior to joining Ohio State, Carly served as a legislative liaison at the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce where she supported K-12 education policy initiatives and legislative engagement for the agency. She began her career in the Ohio House of Representatives serving as a legislative aide, clerking the Ohio House Education Committee, and managing the office of State Representative Adam Bird. 

A proud Buckeye alumna, Carly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from The Ohio State University in 2022.
